My Approach
My approach is built on forming a caring and compassionate therapeutic relationship and by providing a safe and inclusive space for clients of all ages. I recognize that each client has specific needs therefore I tailor my approach specifically to you, and I build upon your inherent and unique strengths to help you achieve your goals.
I believe that past experiences and relationships shape who we are, impact our present functioning and contribute to our emotions and current patterns of behavior. Together, we can explore current challenges, tap into the connection between your past and present while focusing on positive coping.
I strive to utilize interests unique to each individual such as music, writing, or art to help each client connect to their therapeutic experience. I use the practice of mindfulness and often explore the connection between physical and mental health and well being. I work to create and sustain a supportive and trusting environment in which to express challenges, work towards resolution and create or revive hope for the future.
